Mario celebrates 35 years on stage with a concert at the Herod Atticus Odeon, Athens on October 10th 2023

A celebration it will be, as well as the program of this year's performance at the Herod Atticus Odeon, where his beloved friends and collaborators will shine with their presence.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Maria Callas, the cultural organization Lykofos presents the historical opera "Norma" by Vincenzo Bellini at the Herod Atticus Odeon on August 28th and 30th 2023, directed by Tom Volf and conducted by Eugene Kohn.
The worldwide premiere of this productions features 110 performers and artists on stage, the National Symphony Orchestra and the Mixed Choir "Fons Musicalis" under the direction of Kostis Konstandaras.
Norma, Callas’s favorite role, which she sang a total of 92 times on stage - more than any other opera - returns to the Herod Atticus Odeon, where Callas herself sang in 1944 and 1957 and the country from where she gave Norma's most legendary performance in Epidaurus in 1960.
For this great undertaking, Tom Volf has assembled an outstanding international cast. The role of Norma is performed by the famous Lebanese-Canadian soprano Joyce El-Khoury and opposite her, in the role of Pollione will be internationally renowned Greek tenor Mario Frangoulis.
